FairSport on the AIU prosecution of LIMS cases
March 17 2026: FairSport congratulates the Athletics Integrity Unit for its independent work in the successful prosecution of LIMS cases, a significant milestone for integrity in sport. The 66 cases successfully prosecuted from the Russian state-sponsored doping scandal represent the highest number achieved by any sport.
FairSport also recognizes the courageous contribution of whistleblower Dr. Grigory Rodchenkov. Against all odds, Dr. Rodchenkov fled Russia to expose one of the most egregious state-run doping programs in the history of sport. Over the past 8 years, Dr. Rodchenkov's courageous testimony at the Court of Arbitration for Sport and his deep understanding of the LIMS data manipulation were instrumental in upholding clean sport and delivering justice to athletes who were cheated by the Russian institutionalized doping program.
